From AKFC travel teams to the Northwest Champions League, MSC players are being seen in 2010.
MSC Polaris 96 squad members Jaeden Chew and Peyton Johnstone head a list of club players who are taking advantage of several opportunities to leave the state and advance their games this fall.
Chew, Polaris 96 team captain and starting goalkeeper, recently completed a four-day individual training camp in Seattle, WA. Put together by MSC and Coerver® Coaching NW personnel, the clinic included several five-hour goalkeeper-training sessions with Coerver® Goalkeeping Director Andy Klubberud, as well as individual sessions with Jorde LaFontaine-Kussmann, starting GK for the University of Washington Huskies. Also during the trip, Chew was able to take in a UW women’s soccer training session, as well as attend their 4-1 victory over Cleveland State at Husky Soccer Field.
Johnstone has again joined the Crossfire Premier 97G A squad, Far West Regional semifinalists in 2010 and the team for which she played during the Nike Crossfire Challenge and Surf Cup in July, 2010. She’ll travel to Redmond at least three times in all throughout the fall, joining her Crossfire counterparts for their Northwest Champions League schedule.
Also on the move in fall 2010 are several members of the MSC Polaris 01 squad, who will be competing in Las Vegas at the Mayor’s Cup with the AKFC 01 Aurora girls. Joining the U10 girls are nine members of the state-champion MSC United 98 boys team, who’ll again travel with their AKFC 98 United squad to take on some of the best boys’ competition the West has to offer.
Please join us in wishing all these MSC players good luck during this important phase in their development.
