Select players from Matanuska Soccer Club premier teams have been invited to attend the 2011 Crossfire Premier - Inter Milan Residential Camp in August, held at Camp Casey on Whidbey Island in Seattle.
All players will receive the highest quality instruction from some of the top coaches in the country. The camp staff will be a mix of Crossfire Premier, and National-Team-Level coaches who have all had tremendous success in their soccer careers! In addition, Crossfire offical partner Inter Milan will be sending over multiple coaches to staff the camp. Players will be evaluated and placed in a group that allows each individual to be appropriately challenged.
The addition of MSC players to the residential camp is a continuation of the working partnership developed between Matanuska Soccer Club and Crossfire Premier, the top development club in the Pacific Northwest and one of the top clubs in the country. At present, two MSC players guest for Crossfire A teams on a regular basis and will again suit up for the club in Surf Cup this summer.
Also of note for 2011, the MSC Polaris 96 girls squad has accepted an invitation to take part in the Crossfire College Camp. At the camp, coaches from the top women’s college programs in the country will direct the team through a challenging curriculum that will expose players to techniques and tactics required to succeed at the highest levels. The team will participate in two forty-five minute college-coach-led sessions each morning, exposing them to a variety of training sessions and styles. In addition, the team will play two friendlies each day, all in an intimate setting where the players can be evaluated by the college staffs in attendance.
